Admin History:
The Hon. Henry Knight was the son of Robert Knight MP, owner of the Luxborough estate at Chigwell, who was created Baron Luxborough in 1745 and Earl of Catherlough in 1763. Henry Knight died in 1762 (Complete Peerage, volume 3 (London 1913), pp. 110-111). His father had bought the Luxborough estate from the trustees of Sir Joseph Eyles (Victoria County History of Essex, volume 4 (Oxford University Press 1956), p. 30).
