Scope and Content:
Henry William King (1816-1893) was an antiquary of Leigh-on-Sea. A founder member of the Essex Archaeological Society, he served as its Honorary Secretary during the period 1866-1893. He bequeathed his collection to the Society and it was for some years housed at Holly Trees in Colchester.
