Admin History:
Epping Rural District Council was created from the Epping Rural Sanitary Authority by the Local Government Act 1894 and its first meeting was held on 4 January 1895. It comprised the parishes of the Epping Poor Law Union with the exception of Epping, Theydon Garnon and Theydon Bois which formed the Epping Urban District Council. It continued in existence until 1955 when it formed part of Epping & Ongar Rural District Council.
