Includes note by John [?Beoge] 1623 that 'this booke was made before I was born 54 yeres for I think I am 40 yeres of age'; note that `of these yeres, 1553, 1554, 1555 I fynde nothynge' (p.6); marginal sketches of hand with pointing forefinger to show entries out of proper order (pp.7, 10); marriage 5 August 1583 of Robert Lecheworthe and Margaret Bowes `bothe dwelling uppon London bridge'; burial 23 May 1611 of son of 'a pore vagrant fellow, wch child died in Norton Hall barne' (p.35); note of 6 burials 1657-1658 which 'came to my hand after wrighting the cattostrophas of thes years' (p.52); note c.1662 that 'finding the register very imperfect (by reason of the remisnes of my predecessors and unfeillfullne of our laate Register apointed by that pretendid authority) I have now taken in hand to revis and augment the same ...'
