Monumental inscriptions at Cathedral Church of St Mary, St Peter and St Cedd, Chelmsford, recorded April 1997, and war memorials in Chelmsford, recorded November 2000.

Includes notes on the cathedral, indexes of persons, places in Essex, places out of Essex, occupations and stonemasons, with plans of churchyard and cathedral.

Memorials in churchyard include those of John Oxley Parker, solicitor of Chelmsford, nearly 50 years Deputy Registrar of the Archdeaconries of Essex, Hertfordshire and Colchester, Principal Registrar of the Commissary Court of London, died 1826 and his son Charles George Parker, also Deputy Registrar and Clerk of the Peace for 25 years, died 1847; Thomas Orrell, Captain Royal Cheshire Militia, died 1803; Revd Joseph Robinson, Wesleyan minister, died 1834; William George Gilson, undergraduate of Peterhouse, Cambridge, died 1828; Major R.W. In cathedral, also Mothers' Union banner presented and dedicated 1988, the previous banner, dedicated in 1953, having needed to be replaced 'as the silks were disintegrating and it was considered to be beyond repair ... [it was] sent out to the Diocese of George in South Africa ... act as a sampler to guide needle-women who, with no tradition of this type of craft work, would like to be able to produce a banner for theit own use'; window in memory of Henry Hamilton Gepp, Under Sheriff and Registrar of the Archdeaconries, died 1945 and wife Mary, died 1935; in bell ringer's chamber, peal cards and boards recording various ringings of bells in cathedral and other churches in Essex, 1813-1991, including peals at at Great Waltham in 1907 for coming of age of Prince Alexander of Battenberg, and at Widford 1916 'with the bells deeply muffled as a tribute of respect to the memory of the late Lord Kitchener and others of H.M.S. Hampshire; also to all who lost their lives in the Great Naval Battle [Jutland]', coronation of Queen Elizabeth II, 1953.
