WESTCLIFF HIGH SCHOOL FOR BOYS, WESTCLIFF
Admin History:
In 1920, Southend Commercial Secondary School was established to provide boys and girls with a commercial education. The school was first located at Belsfield, Victoria Avenue. In 1926 a new school, Westcliff High School for Boys, was opened in Eastwood Lane (that part later known as Kenilworth Gardens). The school was evacuated to Belper, Derbyshire, in 1940 and shared accommodation with Herbert Strutt School until its return to Westcliff in 1942.
