Admin History:
Henry Grey, formerly Henry Neville, of Billingbear (1683-1740) was the son and heir of Richard Neville of Billingbear and his wife Katharine, sister and heir of Ralph Grey, Baron Grey of Werk. Henry Grey's own wife Elizabeth Griffin (later Countess of Portsmouth, owner of Audley End and aunt of John Griffin Griffin, the 1st Lord Braybrooke) was a great niece of that same Richard Neville. Henry and Elizabeth's marriage was childless, but by her marriage to Richard Aldworth Henry's sister Catherine Neville (died 1720) linked the Neville and Aldworth families. Her grandson was Richard Aldworth Neville, later Griffin, the 2nd Lord Braybrooke.
Richard Griffin, formerly Richard Neville, 3rd Lord Braybrooke (1783-1858) succeeded to the title on the 2nd Lord's death in 1825.
