35 oral history interviews about the foundation of refuges for abused women in the East of England and East London, including refuges for British Asian women, recorded in 2016-2017 for Heritage Lottery Funded project 'You Can't Beat a Woman' (digital files). Includes transcripts and exhibition book. Some interviews have access restrictions.

12 oral history interviews with residents of Colchester Women's Aid Refuge, with transcripts, recorded in 1985 (audio cassette tapes). Interviews numbered 1-15, interviews 9-10 seemingly missing (from labels). Transcripts only for interviews 1-7. Closed until 2068.
