Admin History:
The Abdy family began to acquire property in Essex early in the 17th century when Anthony Abdy, alderman and sheriff of London, purchased Felix Hall in Kelvedon and the manor of Virley. His son Robert bought property at Sandon in 1652 and Albyns in 1654. Felix Hall was sold by John Williams husband of CHarlotte Abdy in 1761.
