COURT IN SESSION: SESSIONS ROLL EPIPHANY 1659
Scope and Content:
Indictment of Whereas Peter Whetcombe esq., by warrant dated 14 April 1657, to the constables of Willingale doe commanded them to levy of the goods and chattels of John Reeve senior and junior of the same, the sum of £30 spiece for their several offences of killing of fallow deer of William Lord Petre in Writtle Park, against an Act of 1651 intituled 'An Act to prevent killing of deer', and whereas, 17 April, the warrant was delivered there to Joseph Agent of the same yeoman, yet he hath neglected and refused to execute it.
