Scope and Content:
Indictment of Walter Willmott and Richard Reeve constables of Hatfield Peveral, by virtue of an order from John Sames a Justice of the Peace there arrested Henry Medcalfe of the same butcher for suspicion of felony, but after 6 house he escaped. Pleads not guilty; guilty; read; branded. Witnesses: the said constables. (ASS 35/45/2/33)
