Scope and Content:
Of Thomas Abbott of Bulmer husbandman, reciting that on 20 April last past by a most lamentable fire was consumed of his own proper goods 50 quarters of barley and malt, one horse mill with 2 pair of millstones, three horses with all their furniture, besides many goods and implements amounting in the whole by estimation to £50 and upwards, to his utter undoing and overthrow, for certificate of which he hath brought the hands of the inhabitants, that he hath a poor wife and 3 small children and cannot well undergo the said charge, he entreateth that the Court would grant him such benevolence as God shall move them out of the "purse of Charitable Uses" for and towards his relief, his poor wife and children.
