Surrey: Lyne Estate, mainly in Newdigate, Capell [and Ockley], Surrey, apparently assembled in early C19th by James Broadwood. There is a large number of constituent parts (including some copyhold of manor of Dorking), and CL has made no attempt to distinguish them. Deeds to properties below in Rusper and Warnham, Sussex, which seem to have been incorporated into the estate by Broadwood, have been kept separate so far as possible, although this does lead to anomalies. By the 1890s the Broadwoods seem to be related to the Fuller Maitlands.
